Milan General Facts

Milan is an Italian city in the region of Lombardy. Milan was founded with the name Medhlan and was known for the Edict of Toleration signed in 313 AD which was giving to all citizens of the Roman Empire the freedom to follow whatever religion they wanted without discrimination and hunting, things that was happening  till this Edict.

Although Milan has not so many green space, in comparison to other organized cities of the same size,  it has many parks and gardens to take a walk ,located in an area covered by Piazzale Oberdan (Porta Venezia), Corso Venezia ,Via Palestro and Via Manin.

Economics

Milan is a metropolitan area and a centre for business and finance, it has the 4th largest GDPs in Europe. The Italian Stock Exchange is stationed in the city. Development of industries and trading is not a new thing in this city. Since the 12th century it has begun manufacturing armors, and also silk trading has made its appearance. During the 16th century, production of luxurious goods came to a rise, followed by the industrial revolution. Lifestyle and goods that represented one’s economic and social status became the trend, and it has never changed since. So today, fashion, clothing and design still remain a trend in Milan. That, in addition with the amount of money that flows within the Italian Stock Exchange and with football, fashion shows keep Milan at the highest ranks of the richest cities per capita.
